Radio Sucks! Listen to me instead!

Jeremy Norris is your personal guide to the underground world of music.

Hello loyal readers of You know how i do.com. My name is jeremy and i will
be giving you the heads up on what bands you should be checking out. I'll be
doing  one new band every week or so. Hopefully you will stop listening to
whatever crap the radio is stuffing down your throat this week, and be
turned on to some  new and cool music. I'm only gonna be talking about
punk(and all its sub-genras) bands. so if you want to hear about other
bands.....FUCK OFF!

Well after a long hiatus im back, and better than ever. the lazy bug and the
love bug hit me at the same time, so i had no time to do a write up, the
lazyness is gone, but hopefully the love bug stays for much longer. on to
the review!

Brand New
Do you like Brand new, cuz you know i do. Brand New is a rocking band from new york with some of the best one liner lyrics ive heard. i mean look at
these "its funny how your worst enemies always seem to be your best friends
best friends," "so heres a present to let you know i still exist, i hope the
next box that you kiss has something terribly contagious on his lips," and
"back in school they never taught us what we needed to know, like how to
deal with dispair or someone breaking your heart." Those are jsut a few of
there excellent lyrics. Now you may be asking, "jeremy what do these guys
sound like?" Well they are similiar to taking back sunday, and they are emo,
but not too slow. They use two lead singers in the songs, so it sounds nice.
The only thing i have to say about them that might not be considered a nice
thing is that that are poised to sell out. They remixed there song jude law
and the semester abroad to make it more radio friendly, eeekkk! check these
guys out before every preteen bitch in new england is going "I'm so emo, i
just bought the brand new brand new cd, tee hee hee"if you want to know some songs to download, i suggest that you get "the shower scene," "jude law and a semester abraoad,"(try to get the original copy if you can) "the no
seatbelt song," and  "seventy times seven" you won't be dissapointed! They
are playing live at the met cafe april 25th and then live at the pallidum
the 26 of april, check them out. I have seen brand new live and they are
rocking!

Excuse any spelling errors, also i promise another review really quickly
because ive been suspended from school and i have nothing better to do with
my time! Contact me on aim at s/n: Wafflehurler if you wanna shoot the shit
about cool bands or anything in general.

Taking Back Sunday- The first time i listened to these guys i was like "Wow" the last time i lsitened to these guys i was like "Wow" These dudes really know  how to rock, and thier oh-so emo lyrics are potrayed in a nice harder way. Songs like "cute without the e" and "Your so last summer" will really give you a  feel for how these guys sound. Hopefully these guys will stay away from the fucking radio, unlike there buddys Brand New. But thats a
different write up for  a different day.One thing that really makes taking back sunday stand out is thier use of two lead singers. Dual vocals sound great on all of thier tracks.  Also they scream, its not like a zao scream, or even a thursday scream, but they are letting out all thier emotion in these songs and you can tell. I have  hear both good things and bad things about these guys in concert but i have yet to see them live. Im sure they will rock though! Download a couple of taking  back sunday songs or just buy the fucking cd. You will not be disappointed.
